More than a spotlight, this list is a catalyst for meaningful community and conversation. By identifying and showcasing ongoing excellence, we aim to create lasting pathways to visibility, opportunity, and support within the industry.

We seek nominees who identify as Black and encourage submissions that reflect diversity in background, geography, discipline, and impact across the food space. This includes—but is not limited to—chefs, content creators, food entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, and educators.
Honoring the voices shaping brilliant food narratives, through mediums including writing, photography, film, social media, and other media/creative channels.
Recognizing leaders and advocates who uplift the Black food community through activism, public relations, education, mentorship, and philanthropy.
Celebrating trailblazers pushing boundaries with bold ideas, new techniques, and creative approaches that are redefining culinary traditions.
Spotlighting the industry's emerging talent—folks showing extraordinary promise in the culinary world.
Honoring trailblazers whose lifelong contributions have shaped and enriched Black foodways.
