    Hood ole school bbq

First off take a fat wallet to this establishment very pricey for what you get. For starters the parking is a nightmare and forget about eating anywhere on the property. I’ve been coming off and on for the last 7 years you think by now they would upgrade the dark space so the customers had a spot to hangout at while waiting for their food. (Pre COVID and current )The one outside table is not enough for the flow of traffic that comes through. Now because this is a Black Owned establishment sometimes we become complacent and comfortable with the flow of customers we’ve already established. Those are the ones that will keep coming back no matter what they still support your business in hopes to see better days to come. This is me because I remember the first time I ate here I drove for 2 hours to eat here and it was the Bomb! (Years ago ) Now fast forward to 2021 this is what I got rude impatient Staff . They were out of Chicken (on a weekend at 12noon and still wanted to charge ppl for a Combo Plate @$23.95 without a reasonable replacement for the missing Chicken (FOUL) What nobody could run down to Restaurant Depot to buy some chicken? My Order was the Ribs Tips half of the meat was burnt to the level of unethically burnt! The BBQ sauce was made of some of vinegar ketchup and chili powder... YUCK! Not worth the extra money I paid for the extra sauce on the side. The Potato salad wasn’t good don’t even bother with it. Now the good was the Ribs tip part I did get that wasn’t burnt was very good I’d wanted my whole order to taste all moist and juicy but with all of this I was very disappointed with my Hood favorite BBQ. I wrote this with the hopes that you take me back to what I know is still the best BBQ in LA.Respectfully do better and thank you for your years of service to the community.
