Grand afternoon beautiful people of the universe! It’s been a while, but took some much needed time to reflect on the current world around us.. Always give yourself time to heal, process, and repeat. Come back and still support black-owned businesses! ✊🏾 Oh by the way, in case you thought we forgot: JUSTICE FOR BREONNA TAYLOR!! Live at Cafe on Ralph, Located in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn (or to the realtors: “Ocean Hill”) on the corner of Ralph Ave and Putnam. This well kept, very appealing and very friendly brunch spot, is home to what is now my favorite: Lobster and Grits!! Starting from left to right: 1) Lobster and Grits- w/ Rosemary Paprika Beurre Blanc, this dish will leave your palette on whirlwind frenzy! Origin of Grits: The dish came from a Native American Muskogee tribe's recipe in the 16th century, of Indian corn similar to hominy or maize. The Muskogee would grind the corn in a stone mill, giving it a “gritty” texture.[4] They were made using a stone-grounder. The colonists and settlers enjoyed the new staple with the local Native Americans and it became an American staple dish. 2) Eggs Benedict Bowl - w/ Cheddar Biscuit base, Yogurt Hollandaise, Spinach/Arugula Salad with a light vinegaratte. 3) Seasonal Fruit Salad w/ Agave. Overall, my time at Cafe on Ralph was one for the books. Their spin on various popular American brunch dishes, makes it a shoe in for the brunch crowd looking for a remix from the norm. Thanks for having us @cafeonralph! See you next time!
