Vanetta Roy operates the Old Town location and one on the South Shore. Dedicated to serving people, Surf’s Up was opened in hopes to rebuild a once-thriving South Shore community and in hopes to bring diversity and break barriers as being one of the first/only black-owned restaurants in the old town community in recent years since the change from Cabrini Green. While providing excellent high-quality food service and employment to people in the South Shore neighborhood. Committed to her students and serving great food.
