After visiting the Big Easy, I developed a deep love for Louisiana Creole cuisine so I was excited to find Baton Roux. After spending almost $30 for red beans and rice (6-7 sausage pieces) and beignets, I would have expected full flavor. However the red beans and rice was soupy and BLAND. Popeyes red beans and rice is actually better. Now the beignetsss! Were fresh and reminiscent of those you’d find at Loretta’s in the French market.
